Role Overview:
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of commercial vehicles. You will also perform diagnostic fault-finding, support workshop compliance, and contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the workshop. This is a role suited to proactive, reliable, and technically skilled individuals who take pride in their work and want to develop their career further.

Key Responsibilities:

• Routine servicing and maintenance of HGVs to manufacturer and fleet standards
• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis across a range of systems
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
• Compliance checks, safety inspections, and workshop documentation
• Supporting team productivity and maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Mentoring and supporting junior technicians where appropriate
• Contributing ideas to improve workshop efficiency and processes

Candidate Requirements:

• NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Repairs
• Previous experience within a main dealer, fleet, or independent workshop
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Professional, reliable, and motivated work ethic
• Excellent team-working abilities and communication skills
• Passion for continual professional development and learning

Salary & Benefits:

• £46,000 – £47,500 per annum
