Accord Resourcing is partnering with a forward-thinking workshop in Thirsk that values technical expertise, initiative, and teamwork. This is a hands-on role designed for HGV Technicians who want more than just routine repairs — you’ll be entrusted with responsibility across a variety of vehicles and systems, while enjoying a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

In this role, you will work across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing diagnostics, repairs, and servicing. Beyond the technical work, you’ll be actively involved in helping to maintain workshop organization, supporting colleagues, and contributing to workflow efficiency. The team values collaboration, but also encourages you to take ownership of your workload and tackle complex technical challenges independently.

What You Will Be Doing

• Carrying out full servicing and repairs on a range of HGV vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using advanced equipment
• Preparing vehicles for inspections and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Supporting team efficiency and mentoring junior technicians where required
• Engaging in ongoing training opportunities to expand your skillset and career potential

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 HGV qualification
• Previous experience in a busy workshop environment
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Positive, motivated, and professional approach to work
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
