Due to continued fleet growth and workshop demand, our client is looking to welcome a skilled HGV Technician to their daytime engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a productive, well-organised workshop where their skills and experience are genuinely valued.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

As an HGV Technician, you’ll play a vital part in keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and road-ready. You’ll be working on a variety of heavy goods vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work to high industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing MOT preparation work and ensuring compliance
• Working efficiently to meet workshop productivity targets
• Maintaining high safety and quality standards
• Accurately completing job cards and service documentation

Working Pattern & Salary

• Shift Pattern: Day shifts
• Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
• Bonus: Strong and achievable bonus scheme available
• Environment: Busy, well-equipped workshop with steady workflow

What Our Client Is Looking For

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance & Repair or City & Guilds Level 3 equivalent
• Proven experience working as an HGV/Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to health and safety standards
